Each year, a team must register by a given date. After that date, new players may be registered by filling in the on-line form. There will be a period in which teams can totally re-register, i.e. current players may be played 'down' and the teams fundamentally start again. Any team who fields an unregistered player will be fined 3 points as per the league regulations.
If you forfeit three times then on the instance of the fourth forfeit, you will be excluded from the league. All teams pay for a full season and it is considered extremely important that they play the full number of games.
Game scores must be emailed or texted by the captain of the winning team to netballireland@yahoo.com or 087 747 3331 by the Friday evening after the game. We will also be putting the individual scores on the draw as we go so you can check the points etc as you go. If we don't get the scores by the Friday then they will not count - the winning and losing team will not gain any points or increase their goal score tallies.
The winning captains must also send in the completed score card to the League. The cards must be received by the league by the Wednesday of the week after the game or they will not count - the winning and losing team will not gain any points or increase their goal score tallies.
It is the responsibility of each team to organise a competent umpire. If a team is aware that they don't have an umpire prior to the game, they can approach the other team's umpire and request that she umpire the whole court (and be paid by both teams). It is at the discretion of the single umpire in attendance to decide if they umpire the whole court. An umpire is not obliged to umpire the full court and can call the game a forfeit and the forfeiting team is the one that does not provide the umpire. This should be done with at least two hours notice being given to the opposing team. If this notice is not given, there will be a 4 point deduction in addition to the forfeit.
